Starting tonight and every Thursday this summer, come out to Thursday Night on the Square. 5:30 -9:00 at Poncitlan Square, 9th Street East, just off Palmdale Blvd. Here's the lineup:

July 3 America the Great
Celebrate America’s history. Make a liberty bell necklace, a Colonial three-cornered hat and experience candle dipping in the Art & Activity Center. Learn your family history by creating a fun family tree. Enjoy the Stamp’n Station. Country music by Tombstone.


July 10 Mystery Madness
Someone has stolen the SquareBees’ honey! Kids can help solve the mystery by hunting for clues using a decoder and clue book they create. Be sure to watch Petunia’s Puppet Palooza to see if your clues are right! Enjoy easel art at the Art & Activity Center. Rock by Copperhill.


July 17 Monster Mash
Get ready to do the Monster Mash! Kids can create their own monster mask, feet and claws and join a parade around the Square. Enjoy easel art at the Art & Activity Center. Latin rock by Boulevard Knights.


July 24 Passport to the World
Kids can make a passport and receive stamps for “visiting” each country. Make Spanish maracas, a Chinese dragon puppet, an Egyptian pyramid and add their handprint to the “Hands on the Globe” banner. Enjoy the Stamp’n Station. Oldies by The Del Aires.


July 31 Fairy Tail Doggies
Kids can make a fairytale gingerbread house, plant a beanstalk, and create a fairy godmother wish box. Guests can dress fido as a fairytale character and join the doggie parade. Prizes by Puppy Mama’s Biscuit Bakery. Enjoy the Stamp’n Station. R&B by Lorena Mackey & The Hi-Lites.


August 7 Stars on the Square
Walk the red carpet and have your photo taken by the paparazzi. Make a movie director megaphone, a movie charm bracelet and a pair of glamorous glittery sunglasses. Enjoy easel art at the Art & Activity Center. R&B by The Ambassadors of Soul.


August 14 Under the Big Top
Join the circus and experience the Ring Master Extravaganza! Learn how to make a fun circus hat and create a popcorn snack bag and fill it up with kettlecorn. Enjoy the Stamp’n Station. Popcorn sponsored by Couple of Nuts Kettlecorn. Swing by Phat Cat.


August 21 Let the Games Begin
Celebrate the Summer Olympics by creating an Olympic flag, designing your own medal and choosing colored beads to create a country flag pin. Enjoy the Bubble Garden and the Stamp’n Station. R&B by Bump City.

Thursday Night On the Square is a very nice place to go. Just walking around and seeing people have a nice evening. It reminds me of the old pictures you see with families stolling through the park and talking to various venders. ( early 1900's) A very calming small town feel. Glad we have this kind of venue available to us. Very Happy
